A huge part of a successful wedding is the music. Sure the food's important, but if a delicious dinner is paired with the wrong music, no one will forget it.

So what goes into good wedding music?

While the DJ should absolutely consult with the wedding couple on their favorite songs for their wedding's dance party, according to this study from Newsweek, there are ten songs that you should be sure to include on your 2016 wedding playlist.

Let's take it even farther here. If you're having any kind of party this summer, you might want to add Taylor, Justin and Whitney to the mix.

This list was compiled by Billboard, featuring data from almost 40 different DJs from 13 cities.

Which of these guarantees you'll hit the dance floor?

  1. “Uptown Funk”, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars
  2. “Shake It Off”, Taylor Swift
  3. “Shut Up and Dance”, Walk the Moon
  4. “Can’t Stop the Feeling”, Justin Timberlake
  5. “I Wanna Dance with Somebody”, Whitney Houston
  6. “September”, Earth, Wind & Fire
  7. “Yeah!”, Usher feat. Lil Jon and Ludacris
  8. “Don’t Stop Believin’”, Journey
  9. “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”, Michael Jackson
  10. “Shout”, The Isley Brothers

Usher knows how to make great dance music, but I would have never guessed he was above Michael Jackson on the list. What surprised you?
