11 Things That Only Happen in Rockford

Whether you've spent your entire life in Rockford or you just moved here, there's always something that will make you shake your damn head and say, "wow, man, only in Rockford," on a daily basis.

Here are some of my favorite things that can only happen here in the Forest City.

1.See Hall of Famer, Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick, shopping at Woodman's at 3 a.m.

2. Buy adult films out of a brown paper bag from a guy on a bike at Broadway Food and Liquor.

3. See Bun E. Carlos of Cheap Trick at all the local sporting events.

4. You get into a physical altercation debating the best thing on Beef-a-Roo's menu.

5. You learn how to get creative with filling potholes.

6. Get a driver's license at the age of 12. (well people drive like they did)

7. You can buy 25 ribeye steaks for $25 out of the back of a truck at Cherryvale Mall.

8. Then there's this. Real Grand Theft Auto.
