On August 11th and 12th, the Winnebago County Sheriff's office joined forces with the following, according to mystateline.com.

  • Illinois State Police
  • Rockford Police Department
  • Loves Park Police Department
  • Village of Winnebago Police Department
  • Cherry Valley Police Department
  • South Beloit Police Department
  • Rock Valley College Police Department

Their mission was to sweep neighborhoods and make traffic stops, execute search warrants for suspected drug crimes and even a prostitution sting was carried out. The results of the saturation sweep, according to the Winnebago County Sheriff's office, were quite impressive. Here are the numbers after the two-day sweep.

  • 87 traffic stops
  • 37 traffic citations
  • 46 written warnings
  • 5 arrest warrants served
  • 5 fleeing to elude incidents
  • 2 grams of cannabis recovered
  • 22 criminal arrests
