Cooking noodles and adding sauce is delicious, but it's not actually cooking... is it?

Technically no. But that's ok, you can still totally do that like four times a week. But maybe, just maybe, we should learn how to cook a few things that have more than two directions.

Buzzfeed brings us 26 Foods You Should Learn to Cook in Your Twenties and I finally a read a list and don't feel like I need to play catch up.

The list includes:

  • Easy Salad Dressing
  • Frosting from Scratch
  • Roasted Chicken
  • Whipped Cream
  • Pancakes Not From A Box
  • Killer Guacamole
  • Basic Roasted Vegetables

There are 19 other items on the list, but I would say those 7 are where you should start.

I'll even help you!

Whipped cream has three ingredients. Heavy cream, powdered sugar and vanilla, that is it. It's about a millions times better than whipped cream from a can, and it's a ga-zillion times more impressive. This is my favorite recipe for whipped cream.

Roasted vegetables, pretty much the same story here. You can season them as much as you want, but really you need good quality olive oil, salt and vegetables, that's it. You should probably have a super hot oven too, and about an hour. Just remember all vegetables don't cook at the same rate.

Roasted chicken is also on the list including this recipe I have read about a bunch on times from Glamour magazine. It's called engagement chicken and apparently works every time ladies. Even if you're single, practice this one.
