Exciting to hear that Magic Waters will be taken over by Six Flags, the largest regional theme park company in the world.

It's no secret that the Rockford Park District is so cash-strapped that if they hadn't found Six Flags to manage the park, it quite possibly could've been closed. There are a couple small hurdles left to climb before it becomes official, and you can read about that here, but Six Flags hopes to begin managing the park in 2019.

With our excitement also comes, several questions we'd love answers to:

Will the name of the park change?

If it gets a new name, what should it be?

We have some suggestions:

  • Magic Flags
  • Six Waters
  • Hurricane Harbor North

Will they turn on the heater and open for Fright Fest and dye the wave pool red?

Will there be funnel cakes?

Will there be waterslides that make you vomit?

What do you think about this news? Many wonderful things can come from this deal.
