This kid really likes his grandma. So much so, that he and his little brother decided to steal a Pontiac Grand Prix and go see her.

That's the story out of Washington County in Wisconsin.

Two boys, aged 9 and 4 stole a car and drove to grandma's house. The police were alerted when other drivers called in a automobile robbery referring to the two kids as anymore "than 8-years-old."

The authorities were further alerted after receiving numerous calls from other motorists saying that a car was speeding and swerving down the road.

As a father of two boys almost identically aged as the two joyriders in the story, the thought of my kids stealing a car to see grandma sounds crazy.

I can't get them to put them to put on their shoes, so they are certainly not hatching a "steal Dad's car and drive to grandma's house" scheme anytime soon.

Two things I don't understand, who leaves their keys in the car and how did the kid reach the pedals?

Jokes aside, I'm glad to hear that both boys are safe.

According to WKOW in Milwaukee, no charges were filed against the 9-year-old.
