An employee at a local establishment had her phone stolen over the weekend.

Well, stolen then returned.

According to Amber Campos on Facebook, three women entered Rascal's at 5223 Torque Dr. in Loves Park, looking for "Free water to steal and $800 phone."

Campos also offered an undisclosed reward for the phone in hopes of its return.

She later edited the post mentioning, the black iPhone 7+ with a pink life proof case and a huge scratch on the right of the screen "HAS BEEN RETURNED!!"

Watching the video you know the women are under surveillance when one of them turns to the camera with that "I hope that things not on" look on her face.

There have been no reports of whether the women in question have been arrested or charged with robbery but you have to imagine there was serious remorse that led to the return of the phone.

Who knows, maybe the thieves wanted the iPhone 8 and decided it wasn't up to their desired specifications, so they returned it hoping for a better haul next time.
