A Rockford area woman spent Sunday removing a batch of bad gas and now she's warning everyone on Facebook to avoid filling up at one local station.

Karen Sue Larke alleges gas purchased at BP on Washington St. in nearby Oregon, Illinois cost Eric Hartman nearly $200 in cash and nearly a day in repairs to fix the damage.

Larke said on Facebook, "The fuel we took out is all water very little gas shown in the containers."

Jamie Walls agreed with Larke's Facebook mentioning that the same thing happened to her, saying she "had to get a new fuel pump" in her "brand new car" due to the bad gas.

Larke's post has been shared on Facebook over 2,000 times.
