If this isn't the most relentless winter in recent history, it's got to be at least in the top 5.

It's almost like the hits just don't stop. From bone-chilling winds to absurd ice storms and everything in between, we now need to prepare for a bit more white stuff falling from the sky starting tonight.

That's because the National Weather Service in Chicago is predicting we'll get another 4-6 inch of snowfall starting tonight and lasting into the overnight hours.

Looking at the snow map NWS Chicago shared on Twitter, it appears we are on the southern end of a system that will drop the most snow in Rockford and the surrounding areas.

Just another wintry gut punch for the never-ending winter of 2019. The good news, the first day of spring is Wednesday, March 20.
