Addison Russell’s Wife Calls Out The Cubs Star For Cheating

Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell was put on blast for cheating last night.

In a since deleted Instagram post, Russell's wife, Melisa, posted a photo with this caption:

"Being free to be able to make your own choices for your own happiness beats being cheated on, lied to, & disrespected any day. #herestonewbeginnings #onlygetsbetterfromhere"

She later doubled down on Twitter saying "Sorry Not Sorry." That post was deleted as well.

Melisa Russell's Instagram post went up last night three minutes before the Cubs-Marlins game at Wrigley Field. Russell was not in the lineup.

Addison Russell is in the middle of a massive slump right now, following a breakout season in 2016. Rumors of his infidelity will surely not help Russell bust out of his funk any time soon.

UPDATE: Russell is now being investigated by Major League Baseball for domestic violence. According to ESPN, a friend of Melisa Russell "accused the player of physically abusing his wife."
