This is not news I want to hear.

On one hand, I am overly enthused when I go to a restaurant and the food has calorie counts next to it. Do I want the 360 calorie salad instead of the 979 calorie one that sounded healthier? Absolutely!

But, I never want to know that there are 756 calories in my margarita, ever. I don't wanna know, because I already know. You know?

Now, if you're like me, and you want to pretend that the alcohol washes out all of the calories, then we can just go straight to the bar. The calorie counts will only be on the menus at the tables. Special drinks will also be allowed to be served without a calorie count, and strangely so will wine.

I'm not sure I understand why, but whatever that's fine with me, bring on the Pinot Noir, calorie free... well calorie free in my mind.

The FDA came up with this idea to deal with America's problem with obesity of course, which I also support, but that's just not how I want it dealt with, sorry. I'm all for my food being labeled, knowledge is power, but leave my watermelon margaritas alone, calorie label-ers.

Because, I don't wanna know, cuz I already know. You know?
