NEW IN THEATERS

San Andreas (PG-13)

The Rock plays a rescue helicopter pilot trying to find his daughter after California is rocked by a 9.0 earthquake and the tsunami it created. Alexandra Daddario from the Percy Jackson movies plays his daughter, Carla Gugino from the Spy Kids movies is his wife, and Paul Giamatti plays a seismologist who puts the devastation into perspective.

The San Andreas fault extends over 800 miles along the entire length of California. It separates the tectonic plate beneath the Pacific Ocean from the rest of North America so a quake of that magnitude would be felt all the way on the East Coast.

The director, Brad Peyton, also worked with The Rock on the movie Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.

Aloha (PG-13)

Bradley Cooper stars in this romantic comedy as a military contractor who returns to Honolulu to get a second chance at working on the space program. Emma Stone is his Air Force liaison, and Rachel McAdams plays his ex-girlfriend. Bill Murray, Alec Baldwin, Danny McBride, and John Krasinski are also in it. And it's directed by Jerry Maguire, Almost Famous director Cameron Crowe.
