Last week I made plans with a friend of mine from college to meet up in Chicago; he and his family will be in town to see the musical Hamilton and they had a few hours to spare for dinner.

The night they'll be in town just happens to be my boyfriend's birthday so I happily said "yes," thinking this would be a great way to celebrate.

A few days later he asked if I'd like him to see if there were extra tickets available; deep down I knew there probably wouldn't be, but I asked Jason, my boyfriend, if he'd be interested anyway. He said "no." Boo.

Thinking that the opportunity to see one of the hottest musicals in American history had passed me by, I sulked a little; that was until I saw that another batch of tickets for Hamilton is going on sale next week.

According to NBC Chicago, the tickets, which will cover a 16-week span beginning in mid-January, will go on sale on Tuesday, August 29th.

Tickets start at $60 and you can purchase them by calling 1-800-775-2000, or visit broadwayinchicago.com.

Now, who wants to go with me?
