Remember when 173 (a.k.a. West Lane Road) was practically empty? So much has changed over the past decade and now it's become a premiere dining and shopping area. Machesney Park Crossings has been a big part of that and it's looking like the strip mall will be 100% occupied sooner than later. This week news broke of another new store opening in the shopping center.

Machesney Park officials confirmed a new neighbor for Michaels and Ulta Beauty. In the coming months, Ross Dress For Less will open a second location within the state-line. The Rockford Ross is located near E. State Street and Perryville Road.

Machesney Park Village officials say the property owner wants to see Crossings be completely filled with businesses.

Machesney Park Village officials and the property owner, First Midwest Group, worked cooperatively to secure Ross Dress For Less in Machesney Crossings. Village administrator Tim Savage commended First Midwest Group for their efforts to bring Machesney Crossings to nearly 100% occupancy. “Ross Dress compliments the other retailers within the center and provides synergy that makes for a pleasant shopping experience,” said Savage.

Details on hiring information coming soon.
