Apple Releases iOS 8 for iPhone and iPad

The impending release of the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus means that a new iOS is on it's way. If you don't want to buy new phone, it's cool, just download the new operating system and pretend. Which version(s) of the iPhone will it work on though?

If you are an iPhone 4S, 5, 5S or 5C owner, starting today, you can download the newly updated iOS 8 for your phone.

Apple says it is the biggest iOS feature release since the launch of the App Store.

After you first download the new iOS, you won't think much has changed. With the new iOS it's all about what's under the hood.

If you are big into texting, that is the first thing you will notice. It seems that Apple has finally figured out Swype and is implementing that into the new iOS.

Apple's iOS 8 is also giving us a "Quick Type" keyboard that you can use to finish words for you.

There are many more upgrades too. Email, your photos and iCloud are all addressed and revamped.
