Back to School Note Sent to Parents has One Head Scratching Question

Can you believe that registration for school in RPS 205 starts Wednesday, August 3rd? I hope you and your child are ready for them to get started; so is their teacher. Teacher's know how nerve wracking it can be on that first day, especially for your little ones who are jumping on the big yellow school bus for the first time. Once they drive off as they look at you from the back window; hopefully waving and smiling, the rest of your child's day is now in the hands of their school mom...or dad.

Teachers understand that can be a challenge so they want you to be at ease, knowing that your baby is in their hands. One of the best ways to do that is to make sure that you're child is prepared for what lies ahead, and if you're not sure, they'll let you know exactly what they need to be prepared.

This almost perfect checklist will give you an idea of what your child needs to be ready for kindergarten; and I say almost perfect because these are all great things but the person who created the note made a minor mistake. Can you see it?

If you didn't spot it at first, don't feel bad; it took me a second too. There's a part of the checklist that says,  can her or she "Identify 30+ letters?" Which is well, impossible because we only have a 26 letter alphabet.

It easily could've been an oversight on the teacher's part but it makes me wonder if they are the ones who aren't quite ready.
