Do you text and drive? You better learn to stop because tougher punishments are coming to Illinois next year.

According to CBS Chicago we should all prepare for harsher texting and driving penalties as early as next year.

The new law will begin next July 1, and all drivers caught texting and driving will be, 'issued a moving violation that will go on their driving record.'

Three moving violations in a year might mean your license gets suspended.
