A Wisconsin elementary school teacher shared bed times for children on the school's Facebook page, and while it's going viral on Facebook; parents and experts don't necessarily agree with it.

It's one of the most challenging parts of your day- getting your child to bed. You've had a long day, they've had a long day and despite getting home at a reasonable time, there's still dinner that needs to be made, homework that needs to get done and everything in between.  So when do you put your child to bed? It's a question that most parents have from the day their child was born.

A teacher from Wilson Elementary, Stacy Karlsen, posted a chart to the school's Facebook page which shows the age and times that children should go to bed. For example, if your child is 5 and they have to get up at 6 a.m., then they should go to bed at 6:45pm...and so on.

Some parents have praised the school for posting the chart, siting that it's extremely helpful and other parents are unimpressed; stating that it's unrealistic.

Would this chart work for you? Or is it completely off base? My son never had a set bed time but I also had a very erratic schedule for most of his childhood; I was never really home to enforce a bed time because I was always working and if it was late, that was the time that we got to spend together so I never made him go to bed.  How about you? Is this helpful or hooey?
