The lockdown of several Belvidere South schools last Thursday was due to retaliation of break up.

Whoa! Wait a minute.

This person called in a threat that created panic in parents who have children at those schools, along with scaring the faculty and staff, not to mention tying up police resources to get back at their ex?

Why would someone do that?

According to the Rockford Register Star, 21-year-old Tyler Schoon of Rockford was "implicated in a threat of gun violence at Belvidere Middle School on Thursday."

The police received a report "that [Tyler] threatened a middle school student in Belvidere with a gun and the [tip] came from Andrews."

Tyler told authorities when they questioned him, that "his ex-girlfriend is trying to get back at him for breaking up with her."

"Police asked him if he was in Belvidere, and he told them no, that he had been in Rockford that afternoon." They then asked, "if he had messaged his ex-girlfriend, Sabrina L. Andrews, that day on Snapchat."

That's when Tyler realized that "[Sabrina] made the accusation to get him in trouble."

He said that "Ever since I left her, she’s been trying to put me in jail. I had no clue what was going on. I was just at home minding my own business. ... I told them it wasn’t me. I’ve blocked her twice (on social media). She uses different names.”

Tyler and Sabrina's relationship "lasted for less than a year and has been over for two months. In that time, Andrews also filed an order of protection against him, saying he was threatening her."

Currently, Ms. Andrews is being held at "the Boone County Jail on $20,000 bond." If found guilty "she faces charges of filing a false police report and transmitting a false threat of violence against a person at a school while that school was in session."

Wow!

I guess that saying is really true, or at least in this case it is, "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned."

I just honestly, don't understand why someone would go to these depths to get back at someone. ???
