Have you ever wondered why convenient stores are called convenient stores?  I mean, seriously, what's so convenient about having to get out of your car to buy a $10 emergency box of 6 tampons and some last minute Lean Cuisine's for lunch, only to get stuck in line behind every person who wants to buy seven different kinds of lottery tickets with spare change?  NOTHING.

Which explains why Beloit is considering adding a drive thru convenience store. OK, so those might not be the exact reasons, but it's a pretty cool concept if you've never experienced one.

According to WREX, the city of Beloit is thinking of leasing out an old tire store and turning it into a convenience store where you can purchase tobacco products and alcohol in the drive thru.

If city council passes the proposal, the store will be located off of Prairie Avenue.
