The day after we stuff our faces with enough turkey to feed a small army, most of the U.S. heads out looking for the best deals, Black Friday is looming.

In some families, Black Friday is as big a tradition as anything else. Getting up early, making a super strong pot of coffee, and throwing on your warmest clothes in order to save some cash.

There are some retailers that are better at helping you save money though.

WalletHub scanned over 5,000 items in Black Friday ads from 22 major retailers.

Their findings? The best place to save money on Black Friday is JCPenney.

According to WalletHub's research, JCPenney has the highest overall discount rate at 65%.

  3. Rite Aid (53%)
  4. Meijer (51%)
  5. Sears (50%)
  6. Walgreens (47%)
  7. Office Depot and Office Max (44%)
  8. Ace Hardware (41%)
  9. Kohl's (40%)
  10. Staples (39%)

The retailers offering the smallest discount percentage? Costco (21%), Big Lots (25%), Amazon (26%), and Best Buy (32%).

If you are looking for specific items on Black Friday like electronics or computers, Office Depot and Office Max offer the largest percentage discount (40%).

If toys are what you need, Kohl's leads the way in discount percent (48%).
