When eating a hot dog and Whopper separately isn't quite enough.

The latest creation from Burger King is one of my favorite things about food, Frankensteining. ChowDown Champs refers to Frankensteining as "not for the faint of heart or probably those with a propensity for heart conditions."

Fast food joints have been doing this for a while, I guess you could call it a fad and that's where the Whopper Dog comes in. The Whopper Dog is one part hot dog, one part Whopper, but is it equally delicious?

Well, it's a hot dog that tastes like a Whopper. According to Fortune, "It’s topped with lettuce, tomato, pickles, chopped onions, ketchup, and mayonnaise. It’s priced at $1.99 for the hot dog alone, or $4.89 to make it a meal."

The Consumerist says "Burger King is testing something new: people in some markets have spotted a Whopper Dog on the menu."

A call to the Burger King location at the corner of E. State St. and Bell School Road confirmed that the Whopper Dog is indeed on the menu.

However, it looks like the Whopper Dog is a limited time menu item. While it lasts, are you planning on trying one?
