Celebrate National Watermelon Day by Watching Us Blow One Up

Just like every day of the year, August 3 needs a reason for being August 3. Enter National Watermelon Day.

No idea why today of all days needs to be referred to as National Watermelon Day but I'll play along.

Primarily because it gives me a chance to share a pretty sweet video that Midday Michelle and I created a year ago.

We bought a watermelon and grabbed a huge pack of rubber bands and attempted to see how many it would take to blow the fruit up.

It was fun. I took about 15 minutes for a sticky sweet seed bomb to ensue and of course we lost count how many rubber bands it took but all in all, it was tons of fun.

What I'm saying is, that this might be the best way to celebrate National Watermelon Day, well, besides eating watermelon.
