Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was in Rockford last night.

Trubisky was in town as the keynote speaker for the Rock River Valley Prep Awards banquet at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

This was the first of a few different stops for Trubisky this summer as he makes his way through the state speaking to high school athletes.

Trubisky spoke to the Rockford Register Star saying "It's awesome. Just to be able to give back to the communities wherever I can, it means a lot to me."

Trubisky also took a few pictures with student-athletes and their families.

Bears fans are hoping the 2018 season results in more than just pictures, like a parade. You know, like a parade route, after the Chicago Bears win the Super Bowl.
