Before every Chicago Blackhawks game, the team honors a member of the military.

Tonight, United States Army Staff Sergeant Ryan Hill (formerly of Dixon) will take the honors.

Hill, was a Combat Medic with deployments supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.

He's also my brother-in-law, and he'll appear on the United Center ice before Jim Cornelison sings The Star-Spangled Banner.

Congratulations to Staff Sergeant Hill and his family on this tremendous honor!

The Chicago Blackhawks take on the Colorado Avalanche tonight at 7:30 p.m. The game can be seen on Comcast Sports Net Chicago.
