Chicago is the Second Worst City For Mosquitoes in the Country
Heading to Chicago this summer? Don't forget the bug spray!
How was your memorial day weekend? If it was anything like mine, it was full of family, friends, grilling and bug bites.
I'm too afraid to count the bites, because I'm scared that I'll discover more than I'm already aware of. Apparently there's a reason why I'm so bitten up, and it has more to do with geography than with my arms and legs.
According to Orkin, Chicago is the second worst city in the entire nation for mosquitoes.
The only city with bugs that are worse than Chicago is Atlanta. So be aware if you're heading to Georgia to pack extra repellant too!
Orkin's list comes from 2014, so there is a a chance our bug count has come down in the last two years... but chances are we still rank number two.
Rockford doesn't make the list, but I'm guessing commuters from the Chicago area bring some mosquitoes this way, but Wisconsin doesn't make the top twenty at all, which is pretty great. This summer let's just all go North.
