It's the end of an era, for real. In a soul crushing move, Chuck E. Cheese has decided to get rid of their famous tokens in exchange for something that's supposed to help us keep better track of our gaming points-  rewards cards.

According to Business Insider, all 600 locations will be phasing out the tokens for a system that's not only easier to use, but it'll help them collect more customer information; think of it like a loyalty program similar to that of Starbucks or Meijer.

While it wasn't mentioned in Business Insider's article, perhaps safety might be another concern. This is what happens at Chuck E. Cheese when you catch another parent stealing your tokens. This took place at one of their locations in Miami last week.

There is, however, a silver lining here- the raffle tickets that your skee ball machine spits out are here to stay.
