Crystal Lake Is Getting The Taste Of Bayou

Get ready Crystal Lake the delicious taste of the bayou is coming your way, as a new Popeyes will be going up soon.

According to the Northwest Herald "Construction of a new Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen could begin this summer."

The location will be in the former Coventry Motors on the "on the eastern corner of McHenry Avenue and Route 14."

Which will help bring another option for lunch or dinner in the area as it very limited now.

The restaurant will be built new as the Coventry Motors building will be torn down and it will also feature a drive=thru and outdoor seating too.

The target sate to begin construction is this summer as Crystal Lake senior planner Elizabeth Maxwell said that "a design team still is working to get final designs approved."

Currently, there's a slight issue over water. The "restaurant will sit on a watershed, so engineers must find a way to get water on-site, among other things."

However, Ms. Maxwell noted that "[The operator] wants to get going as soon as he can,.... Once they kind of work out these last issues, he’ll be able to pull permits and get started. We’re hopeful by this summer.”

Mmm... I can almost smell that spicy chicken and taste their awesome biscuits, not to mention their 'dirty rice'.
