Das Foto Bus is the Best and Newest Vendor at City Market that Isn’t Exactly at City Market

If you're planning on going down to City Market this Friday, or any Friday this spring and summer, keep your eyes pealed as you're walking down State Street; specifically near State and Madison.

That just might be the place where you spot one of the market's newest and coolest vendors...well, it's not exactly part of City Market, but I'll get to that in a second.

It's the Foto Bus. I walked by it last Friday and really wanted to check it out, but my boyfriend Jason wouldn't oblige. Stupid.

But, I got my chance to experience it Saturday at the GR815 Beer Fest and it's awesome.

Take a look.

I spoke to the owner, Mike, who said he originally created the Foto Bus for his little sister's wedding. It was such a hit that he decided to take it to the streets.

Which is exactly where you'll see him on Fridays during City Market because he wasn't allowed to be an actual vendor on market grounds. He applied but was denied because he wasn't offering produce, food or items for sale.

That won't deter him from bringing this sweet set up to downtown streets, offering photos that print out on the spot, for FREE- but, he does accept a donation and I'd gladly give him one next time (I didn't have cash when I saw him. I felt bad.)
