Data Shows More Packer Fans Live In Winnebago County Than Bear Fans

When you're this close to the border of Wisconsin you're bound to get a few Packers fans but more than Bears fans? That's some surprising stuff right there!

Digital Third Coast is using Google Maps to divvy up all of the counties in Wisconsin and Illinois to see who which football team has more fans in the area.

While Cook County, where Chicago is located, is well represented with Bears fans including the surrounding areas, the real story unfolds the further west you travel from the city.

Packers fans take the lead in Winnebago, Boone and Jo Daviess County. Aren't those counties in Illinois?

Packers fans represent almost 60% of the population in Winnebago County whereas Bears fans follow up with 37% and Lions and Vikings come in at 1%.

All is not lost for Bears fans in the northwest part of the state, there is lots of love for the Bears in Ogle, Lee and Carroll County.
