It's a good thing I'm not a parent with young children. Last year I got an "Elf on the Shelf" and I couldn't wait to take it out of the book box and show her off; sadly, I have yet to take it out of the box this year and to make matters worse,  I can't even remember what I named her. Fail. My kids would definitely say that I'm losing at Christmas this year.

I may be losing, but there is one adult in Rockford who is winning Christmas and it has nothing to do with taking his "Elf on the Shelf" out of the box to pose in silly scenarios around the house; that's because he is the elf.

According to the Journal Standard, Brandon Johnson, a real estate agent with Dickerson & Nieman, is spreading a little mischief and a lot of cheer in the Rockford area as Blitz the Elf.

Maybe you've seen him? He's been known to "steal" ornaments from trees, hijack Zamboni's and get caught up in the all the right places in Screw City.

Take a look at some of these great photos of Blitz the Elf from Dickerson & Nieman's Facebook page.

I wonder where Blitz the Elf will pop up next?
