A longtime Chicago Bears fan was nominated for the Ford Hall of Fans.

I've been going to Bears games since I was a kid and I can't remember a game where I didn't see this die-hard. He's more like a mascot than just a normal fan.

He's known as "Bearman." If you've ever been to a game, there's a good chance you've seen him either sitting in the north end zone or on the jumbotron. During national broadcasts, they usually show a quick clip of him on TV cheering on the team.

Do you recognize him?

His obsession with the Monsters of the Midway has finally paid off. This season he's nominated for the "Ford Hall of Fans."

According to fordhalloffame.com,

"Without fans, there would be no fame. So we created the Ford Hall of Fans to return respect where it’s due. Check out this year’s nominees, then decide who will be enshrined alongside legendary players in the Pro Football Hall of Fame."

"Bearman" found out the news when Chicago Bear Legend, Brian Urlacher, came to visit him at his house. Here's a video of that special moment from the Pro Football Hall of Fame Facebook Page...

What a great honor for this lifelong fan.
