After months of announcements and teasers, the debut full-length trailer for Disney's Moana has finally set sail—and boy, does it make a big splash!

Following the incredible success of the House of Mouse's recent hits Frozen, Big Hero 6 and Zootopia, the CGI-animated Moana will introduce an enigmatic new hero and an exciting original tale into Disney's canon.

The new Moana trailer gives viewers the first extended peek into the movie, unveiling the characters' larger-than-life personalities (boisterous, cocky Maui and strong-willed, courageous Moana going head-to-head is quite a sight) as well as a deeper look into the breathtaking animation and lush landscapes of Moana's tropical world.

Set in ancient Oceania, the film tells the story of a young woman named Moana, played by newcomer and native Hawaiian Auli’i Cravalho, who embarks on a journey across the sea to become a "master wayfinder" and fulfill her ancestors' quest. Along the way she meets Maui, a legendary demigod voiced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who assists (and challenges) her along her adventure.

Moana is directed by Rob Clements and John Musker, the same team behind some of the company's most iconic hits (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, and Hercules), and features original music by Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Moana dives into theaters on November 23. See the official Moana poster below:
