Dixon Baby Born In Van Has Most Fitting Name Ever

A Dixon mom joked about how fast her last baby was delivered and talked about how funny it would be if she gave birth on the way to the hospital with her next baby. Guess what happens next?

Yup, Stephanie and Jacob Reitzels' new baby wasn't waiting for a delivery room. The little guy made his grand entrance into this world in their minivan, just steps away from the hospital's entrance. Sauk Valley News described it best in their story,

As the Reitzels pulled into the hospital’s emergency department parking lot, Stephanie caught Vann in her arms.

Mom and baby are doing great. His name is Vann Robert and his tale of the tape is 8 pounds, 3 ounces, and 21 inches long. But, his name has nothing to do with this birthplace - although you have to believe it'll be a life-long joke.

But don’t let the name fool you. Little Vann wasn’t named after big van. He’s named for a relative of his dad’s, Stephanie.
