Last weekend during Dixon Petunia Fest a homeless resident found a wallet full of cash and a cellphone, but instead of keeping it, he made sure it was returned to its rightful owner.

According to mystateline.com, Michael Wulf is a lifelong resident of Dixon, and once his random act of kindness went viral a fellow community member felt inspired to start a fundraiser to reward Wulf's kindness.

Jeni Robin Benham Keller established a GoFundMe campaign for Michael Wulf with the "hopes that we can raise some money to help Michael get back on his feet."

Keller also said "This story touched my heart and I just would like to show that there are still good people in this world, and Michael Wulf is definitely one of those people!"

At last check, over $1,100 has been donated to the campaign thanks to the generosity and kind hearts of the Dixon community, but I have to believe that it will take more than that to help Wulf get back on his feet.

If you too believe that good people still exist in this world, please consider donating to Michael Wulf's GoFundMe campaign. If you can't donate, please share this information with everyone you know. Maybe someone you know needs a certified welder, or has a job opportunity that will truly help Wulf turn his life back around.
