Eight Different Residential Gas Water Heaters Recalled Nationwide

This recall alert might be scarier than salmonella because if ignored it could whip out entire home, or worse.

If you've got a 30, 40, or 50-gallon gas water heater at your residence you may want to go grab the serial number and make sure it's not part of this nationwide recall. According to mystateline.com, the recalled brands include American Water Heater, A. O. Smith, Kenmore, Lochinvar brand Ultra-Low NOX Water, Reliance, State, U.S. Craftmaster, and Whirlpool.

The water heater’s burner can then create excess radiant heat, posing a fire hazard if the water heater is installed directly on a wood or other combustible floor.

Check your water heater's serial number and click here to see if yours is on the list and if so, there are further instructions.
