President Obama has signed an executive order authorizing the National Guard and reservists to assist in the U.S. response to Ebola outbreak in West Africa. The Pentagon currently has the authority to send up to 4-thousand troops.
Ashton's Police Chief Found Unresponsive
Eyewitness news is reporting that Ashton's Chief of Police was found dead yesterday in Lee County. His vehicle went off the road near Route 52 and was found in a field. Police don't believe his car going off the roadway contributed to his death.
