Photos taken on the tarmac before a flight has a Spirit Airlines flight attendant in hot water.

It's probably not the best time for photo taking. Imagine boarding a plane, you sit down comfortably in your seat and as you're looking out the window, you see a flight attendant taking photos inside the jet engine well.

That's exactly what some passengers saw earlier this week as they boarded a plane at the Chicago O'Hare Airport.  One of those passengers went as far as contacting the I-Team to ask if this was protocol or if it was even legal. After the passenger realized that the flight attendant, Ericka Paige Diehl, was on their flight, they took down her name and looked her up on Facebook.

The photos and Diehl's page have both been completely removed; but that hasn't stopped other flight attendants from showing their support.

A Spirit Airlines spokesperson acknowledged that Diehl's actions were "against Spirit's policies" and that they've taken the appropriate action in accordance with their investigation results, but they won't say what those actions were.

Again, I acknowledge that it's probably not the best time to take a photo but it appears to me that this is simply a woman who is loving and embracing her job. Flight attendants have been doing this for years and many explain that it's a rite of passage.

Thoughts?
