When disasters happen, people naturally want to help the victims. We donate supplies and money to help get them on their feet, and now our friends in the Carolinas need our help to rebuild after Hurricane Florence.

Typically money is the easiest and fastest way to help natural disaster victims, because charities don't have to take the time to process and transport donated items, but when someone steps up to collect and deliver donated supplies it is extremely helpful.

This is exactly what Etchberger Trucking in Freeport is doing right now according to mystateline.com.

Etchberger Trucking has one of their semi-trailers parked at Bocker Auto at 801 E South Street in Freeport right now, and they are hoping to stock it full of supplies for Hurricane Florence victims by this Thursday, September 20.

Items that are needed are:

  •     Cases of water
  •     Garbage Bags
  •     Unopened bags of diapers, baby wipes, and formula
  •     Bug spray
  •     Towels
  •     Blankets & Pillows
  •     Sealed snack products
  •     Personal hygiene items such as shampoo, soap, toothbrushes,      and toothpaste
  •     Non-perishable food items
  •     Pet Food and Treats

If you can't make it to Freeport this week to drop off your donations, Etchberger Trucking is reminding people that you can order donation supplies online via walmart.com and just choose Walmart pickup at the Freeport, IL store as the option and add 'Etchberger Trucking Volunteer' as the Alternate Pickup Person.
