Chicken carbonara has bacon in it, so it's got to be good, right?

Well, sure... but have you seen the teeny tiny pieces of bacon in this frozen dinner? I mean, you need a magnifying glass to see it.

The asparagus is nice and green though, but also pretty sparse.

However, my goodness this sauce was amazing. I'm not sure that I've actually ever had real chicken carbonara but I might order it next time I get the chance.

  • Smell: I could immediately smell the bacon, I couldn't necessarily see it... but I could smell it. Yum.
  • Appearance: The noodles were pretty hefty, but the asparagus and bacon were not. There was about as much chicken as I expected there to be.
  • Texture: Pretty much perfect. Let's face it, it's hard to screw up noodles and the bulk of this frozen meal was the fettuccini.
  • Size: Because of the giant portion of noodles, I actually felt like this was enough for lunch, paired with an apple or something.
  • Deliciousness: Totally delicious, 8/10, and I'm only knocking it down from a 10 because I really wanted more asparagus and I wanted to see the bacon. Seeing is believing you know.
