It's January. Time to stop binge eating cookies while watching General Hospital. It's back to work and back to trying to be healthier.

First stop: lunch. You know what's funny? When I am overeating fudge and leftovers I rarely even eat lunch. It's like full-blown breakfast into a three hour dinner, but now that I'm back to work, I realized that I need to get back on track eating wise, so I don't need to buy a new wardrobe for 2016.

So I decided to review some frozen meals for you so that you can only pick the delicious ones when you're at the grocery store.

Frozen Find #1: Lean Cuisine Chicken Marsala

"tender white meat chicken in a Marsala wine sauce with mushroom & pea risotto"

200 calories, 3.5g fat, 4g sugar, 25g carbs, 17g protein

Special notes: gluten free

  • Smell: the chicken Marsala smelled pretty much like you would expect, like Marsala wine sauce and a rice side, that smelled like rice.
  • Appearance: well... it looked kinda grey brownish, but then again so does chicken Marsala at a restaurant
  • Texture: the risotto was really fluffy! It could've used more mushrooms and less peas, but the texture was great. The chicken was just chicken in sauce, but I didn't taste anything rubbery or too weird.
  • Size: It's a frozen diet meal. Of course I would've like twice as much.
  • Deliciousness: Pretty good. I would re-buy this, especially at 17 grams of protein and only 200 calories. Add a salad and an apple and it can be a pretty good lunch. 7/10 on the delish scale.
