Gus Macker 3-On-3 Basketball Tournament Rumored To Return?

While the tournament has been around for years and years, it has disappeared from Rockford and the surrounding areas.

That was until I saw this on Facebook, a story linking back to WIXN's website with the headline, "Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Set to Return To Sterling."

I immediately remembered how much fun I had playing in the Gus Macker, and because of that, I wanted to know more.

The dates according to WIXN are set for June 17 and 18 while the tournament will be played in the Northland Mall parking lot.

The thing is, the Gus Macker website does corroborate the story. Their site doesn't have the Sterling date on their calendar currently.  However, the date is open so that's some good news.

A message was left with a Gus Macker representative regarding the tournament in Sterling.
