Imagine if Portillo's coming to Rockford was all a hoax. It's not, I assure you, but people in Oregon were left pretty disappointed.

I have no idea why this guy decided to do this other than, to steal a phrase from The Joker in The Dark Knight, "to watch the world burn."

The guy in the video saw an empty Wendy's in Eugene, Oregon and decided to get to work.

What he hatched was a scheme to get everyone in Eugene excited about the potential of an In-N-Out Burger coming to town.

All it took was a sign posted outside of that empty restaurant with an official looking In-N-Out Burger logo and he was all set.

That's when the internet broke in Eugene. People started talking it up on Twitter and then it got local TV coverage, only to find out that it was put on by Astley Construction.

You know, Rick Astley? The RickRoll'd video hoax is something that might have been a dead giveaway.

At the end, there has since been a request made to In-N-Out Burger to open a location in Eugene.

What about the guy though? Is this hoaxer the worst person ever?
