Happy Anniversary to Something I Used to Love [VIDEO]

The summer of '81, I was 13 and completely consumed by music.  To see your favorite groups you had to buy a concert ticket.  I was 13, money was not something I had a surplus of lying around. Then on August 1st our world changed.

The debut of MTV Music Television. This is how it all started. MTV's first video.

The Buggles' prophecy did NOT come true. MTV stopped playing videos a long time ago, and when's the last time your heard from The Buggles... 30 years? And yet here we are, STILL LISTENING TO THE RADIO. WE WIN!!!!!!!! (ok, off my soapbox)
