Supposedly men are approaching women in Aldi parking lots across the country. They stand between parked cars asking women to smell some perfume they’re selling. However, the perfume is actually ether which causes the women to pass out. The men then proceed to rob them.

I was in my car running errands and I quickly sent the scam warning to my girlfriend because I know she shops at Aldi. Being the smart person she is, she quickly Googled and source checked the article. Turns out it's completely false. I can only imagine how many were duped by this and how this fake news may have hurt Aldi's business. Isn't it funny how quick we are to believe things on Facebook?

A good resource to check if something you saw on the internet is true or false is Snopes.com. Here's what they had to say about this Aldi's parking lot scam.

If anything, it's a reminder to be aware of your surroundings, park in well lit areas, and don't talk to strangers. Be safe.
