Who is ready for fireworks? With the 4th of July landing on a Tuesday in 2017, more people will have the opportunity to explore more fireworks than ever, this year.

Many local towns and municipalities have scheduled their fireworks displays between Saturday June 24th - Tuesday July 4th, 2017.

(Update: 6/30/17): Note the change for Cherry Valley!

Here is a schedule of upcoming fireworks shows in Northern Illinois.

Amboy: Saturday July 1st at Dusk. Amboy Fireworks Family Event.

Beloit:  Monday July 3 (following the Beloit Snappers game) at Pohlman Field, 2301 Skyline Drive. Information: www.snappersbaseball.com.

Belvidere: Sunday June 25 at 9 p.m.. Heritage Days Fireworks at the Boone County Fairgrounds. More info HERE.

Byron: Tues July 4th: Community Fireworks Display at the Byron Dragway.

Cary: Dusk Friday June 30th at Lions Park, 1200 Silver Lake Road. Information: www.carypark.com.

Cherry Valley: (*UPDATE 6/30) Dusk July 4 at Baumann Park, 218 South Walnut St. Information: www.cherryvalley.org. Cherry Valley Police announce that

The fireworks scheduled for July 4th are still on however Baumann Park will be closed to all pedestrian and vehicle traffic due to flooding. The Cherry Valley Police Department is suggesting that if you plan on attending the fireworks you consider parking in the Southeast parking lot of the Cherry Vale Mall.  All the fireworks are aerial and should be visible from that location. The closing will be strictly enforced to insure everyone's safety.
