In DeKalb, the historic Egyptian Theatre will go through $4.5 million worth of renovations.

I'm a big fan of going to concerts. My favorite type of venue is a theater. It's such a great atmosphere for a show.

We are very lucky to have the Coronado Performing Arts Center in Rockford. Especially, after all the repairs were done to the building. It's not very often that is able to happen.

There are many other cool little theaters within a couple of hours from Rockford. The only problem with many of them is there aren't the funds to upgrade.

The Egyptian Theatre in DeKalb is one of those places. Recently, they got some very good news.

According to daily-chronicle.com,

"Egyptian Theatre set to undergo $4.5M renovation project."

It's important for the economic development of DeKalb. The repairs to the location will make in it a viable source of revenue for the city. Plus, another great place to see live music.

The renovations include installing air conditioning, expanding bathrooms, and adding more concessions.

I look forward to checking it out.
