In order for upgrades and expansion to move forward the public's input is critical. Your input is all the park district is looking for right now. After that would come the planning and fundraising. The park district would like to expand both facilities, upgrade the refrigeration system and renovate the lobbies. As for which facility would get the new rink, that hasn't been decided yet. According to the WREX story, the work at the icehouse would be $12-$15 million.
