How a Tube of Toothpaste Can Teach Your Kids About Bullying

As you prepare your kids for their first days of school this week, what are you concerned about the most?

Is it their grades? Is it concerns over catching the bus or having enough lunch money? How about, will my child make friends?

The first couple of days, maybe even weeks, can be very difficult for many kids. That's why it's so important that we help them understand that going back to school can be difficult for everyone; we all just have different ways of coping with those difficulties.

A quote from Ian Maclaren just came to mind, he said, "Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always."

That quote, along with the sentiment behind the photo of this tube of toothpaste that my friend shared on Facebook, is a great way to teach your kids about the importance of being kind, gentle and compassionate towards others.
