The other day Steve Shannon and I were discussing at what age most kids start to ask questions about Santa; my son didn't start getting suspicious or curious until he was at least 11; he pretty much came to the conclusion on his own who Santa was and there was never a heartbreaking moment where the illusion was completely ruined for him. But when he did ask the question, I of course, denied everything.

Everyone's approach on how to handle the question, "Is Santa real?" is a little different, but if you're struggling for something to say or you don't want to completely crush them; this letter might help guide you to the perfect response.

What did you tell your child when they asked if you were Santa?
